Mission
We are a group of scientists, engineers, and financial analysts preparing communities for climate change. We provide reliable, quantified information to guide prudent climate change adaptation decisions. Syntectic International is a United States-based source for work already being performed in many countries around the world, and have provided these services for ten years, longer than any other firm in the United States.
The United States is at a critical juncture in history. The climate has begun to change. Outdated design standards for civil infrastructure provide inadequate risk protection. The lack of response to changed conditions has exposed people, property, and organizations to unnecessary hazard. Action must begin immediately to reduce the loss of life and economic value.
For ten years we have partnered with rural and urban communities to develop practical, reliable, and affordable adaptation strategies and tactics. We have developed and applied reliable tools for specificying design standards. Project results repeatedly have shown that protection from climate change impacts can be practical and budgetable. To guide your adaptation decisions, we apply state-of-the-art methods utilizing the latest research from the international scientific, planning, and engineering communities. We assess the probability and extent of potential impacts from climate change, to generate specific recommendations addressing each client's unique circumstances.
